Possibly the loveliest and most energising dance form there is – Flamenco improves the posture, coordination and rhythm as well as filling you with a feeling of power, beauty and confidence. What better place to study Flamenco dance than in the “cradle of Flamenco”, as Jerez is known in Spain. These holidays are suitable for both men and women of all ages.

There are two types of Flamenco Dance Holiday: one for clients who have little or no previous Flamenco dance experience and the other for more experienced Flamenco dance students. Both are taught at the top Flamenco dance school in Jerez by one of Jerez’s most famous teachers, La Chiqui de Jerez, and her daughter Tatiana. La Chiqui has taught some of this area’s finest dancers. All classes are accompanied by a Flamenco guitarist and at the higher level classes are also accompanied by a Flamenco singer. Classes vary in length, according to the holiday, but are never less than 7 hours.

For more experienced dance students the holidays that coincide with the International Flamenco Festivál of Jerez and the International Summer School offer fabulous opportunities not only to enjoy top level teaching in an intensive Flamenco atmosphere, but also to see some of the best Flamenco companies in the world perform. Please note that these classes often have lower level classes ( suitable for semi-beginners) as well.

All Flamenco dance holidays include not only daily classes, but also visits to Flamenco shops to purchase beautiful skirts, dresses and shoes. You will also see top level Flamenco danced by local professionals and visit local Flamenco centres. In addition to the classes the holidays include a number of excursions and outings to various places of interest in the area, including some of the lovely beaches of the Atlantic coast and pretty mountain villages.
